About This Site

The United States is Israel's closest and most critical ally - and the relationship is under unprecedented pressure. The Gaza War has reshuffled American politics and reshaped generational attitudes toward Israel, particularly among young people and Democratic voters.

While the conflict itself has driven the shift in support, what's accelerated and deepened this erosion is the relentless propaganda campaign waged by The Young Turks (TYT) - the most influential left-wing media network in America. TYT and its ecosystem of anti-Israel outlets don't just criticize Israel; they lie about Israel. They promote radical Islamist talking points, weaponize selective narratives and outright fabrications, and distort events beyond recognition to shape how millions of Americans understand the conflict. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian aren't honest brokers - they're propagandists. And their reach is enormous.

The problem isn't that legitimate criticism exists; it's that TYT has flooded the information space with coordinated dishonesty that obscures crucial context and facts. When young Americans and progressives consume news primarily through these sources, they're getting a narrative engineered to make them hate Israel - not a story that bears any resemblance to reality.

DishonesTYT exists to fight back. We counter the lies with facts. We expose the propaganda for what it is. We provide the context and evidence that TYT refuses to acknowledge. For Jews and Israel advocates, this is essential infrastructure - a way to reach people with the truth before they're fully radicalized by false narratives, and to demonstrate that when honestly presented, Israel's position deserves serious consideration in American discourse.

Help Us Reach More People

If you have a website, blog, newsletter, or social media platform, please link to DishonesTYT. Every link helps ensure that when people search for information about TYT's claims on Israel, they find fact-checked, documented refutations. Backlinks improve our visibility in Google search results and AI-powered research tools, making it easier for truth-seekers to discover this resource. Together, we can make sure the facts reach more people than the propaganda.

Arm yourself and others with facts.

A note on violence: We stand firmly against all violence.

Some people in the pro-Israel community have threatened Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur because of their views on Israel.

This is deplorable behavior and we condemn it unequivocally.

Violence is never the answer.  Nor is doxxing and trying to threaten the jobs of TYT staff and their family members. Knock it off.  If you do things like this, then you are no better than the Islamists.

Make your case with words and ideas - using facts, evidence, historical and archaeological records.

October 7th War in Gaza (2023-2025) - Lies & Half-Truths

The October 7 Catalyst TYT's coverage of the Arab-Israeli conflict has long favored the Palestinian narrative, but October 7 marked a turning point. That's when they went all in on the dishonesty, cranking up their anti-Israel bias to extreme levels. Now they're throwing around the word "genocide" dozens, sometimes a hundred times daily, describing the wars in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran using the most inflammatory language possible. Conveniently, they never mention that these territories are controlled by and harbor terrorists who have launched thousands of attacks against Israel - all with the openly stated aim of commiting a genocide of Israelis.  Who Started The Oct 7 Gaza War? TYT almost never reminds their viewers about a basic fact: who actually started the 2023 Gaza war. Thousands of Hamas fighters and thousands of ordinary Palestinian civilians crossed into Israel and carried out the worst atrocities against Jews since the Holocaust . They did it on orders fr...

No-one Is Allowed to Criticize Beloved Israel!

TYT Lies To Their Audience For years now, Cenk Uygur, Ana Kasparian and most of the commentators on The Young Turks network have been broadcasting strong anti-Israel commentary to their viewers, then insisting that criticism of their coverage is really just about Israel being "untouchable." In Cenk's exact words - "no-one is allowed to criticize beloved Israel." You hear this talking point over and over again if you watch their YouTube channel - it is repeated dozens of times daily. It's easy to see why their audience believes it, given how often they hear it repeated. It does not reflect reality though. Nobody - literally nobody - has ever said that the  problem with TYT's coverage is that they criticize Israel . This is what logicians call a strawman argument - you defeat a position that the other side never took, then act like you've won the debate. When Cenk Uygur and his nephew Hasan Piker - who said on Twitch that he would "vote for Hamas...

Ideological Lies & Half-Truths

Cenk Uygur claims repeatedly that he backs a two-state solution, telling audiences he wants Israelis and Palestinians to live safely, securely and in peace. It sounds great. The problem is that Uygur's vision is completely disconnected from reality. TYT and Cenk systematically mislead their audience into believing that the Palestinians' goal is statehood. This is a blatant lie. The Palestinians have never demonstrated any interest in having their own state. The two-state solution and Palestinian statehood is a Western fantasy, something various politicians and ideologues dreamed up. For many years, much of Israel's population supported it too. But the past couple decades, especially after October 7, have changed that calculus. When TYT tells their audience that Palestinians seek a two-state solution living peacefully alongside Israel, they're deliberately misrepresenting the Palestinian position. And they're doing the same with regard to the Palestinians' spons...
